Sweet Potato Chana Chaat

Sweet Potato Chana Chaat

Sweet potato chana chaat is a delicious Indian street food. It is a sweet, spicy, and tangy dish. It is gluten free and vegan as well! You can enjoy it whenever you have cravings for eating chaat without feeling guilty. This sweet potato chana chaat is a very healthy snack than most of the chaat recipes which involves deep frying. I have added some sev – small pieces of crunchy noodles made with chickpea flour. You can totally skip it to make a completely healthy chaat recipe.

You will find aloo chana chaat on the streets of India with boiled potatoes and chickpeas. I have made this chaat using oven roasted sweet potatoes and it tastes equally delicious.

Sweet potatoes are a great source of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber.

Sweet Potato Chana Chaat

Chickpeas, also known as chana in India, are part of the legume family. Chickpeas are high in protein and make an excellent replacement for meat in vegetarian and vegan diets.

Chickpeas and sweet potatoes taste amazing together. I love the sweetness and crunchiness of the oven roasted sweet potatoes. They blend perfectly with chickpeas, tamarind date chutney, and mint coriander chutney…Yum!
