Which Coffee Can Be Used For Making The Smoothie?

  • Use instant coffee powder for making oatmeal coffee smoothies like me for comfort.
  • Brew some coffee in a pot, let it cool to room temperature, and use 1/2 cup of brewed coffee ½ cup of milk while blending the smoothie for 2 servings.
  • Store some homemade coffee in the refrigerator and use it as you need for busy mornings for upto 4-5 days.
  • Pour some room temperature coffee in an ice tray and put it into the freezer. Once the ice cubes are formed transfer them to a freezer safe bag or to a container. Use 2 cubes per serving or more for a stronger coffee flavor.

How And Why To Freeze Bananas?

  • Freeze the riper bananas by slicing them into small pieces. Line a tray with parchment paper and line up banana pieces in a single layer, cover with plastic wrap, and freeze them for 2 hours. Transfer them to a freezer safe container and store until ready to use. You can freeze peeled whole bananas as well, just thaw them for 30 seconds and slice them up before adding them to the smoothie.
  • You can use freshly chopped bananas as well if you have not frozen them in advance. Add a few ice cubes while blending the smoothie.
  • Frozen bananas will help keep your smoothie thick and frosty for a long time.
