Healthy Stovetop Granola

Healthy Stovetop Granola

Stovetop Granola is a crunchy, tasty, and healthy recipe. It makes a perfect hearty breakfast to enjoy with some yogurt or milk along with some fruits. Make this easy and energy boosting stovetop granola in under 20 minutes!

Granola tastes so much better when you make it at home rather than buying it at the store. The store bought granola is loaded with sugar and preservatives. Once you start making your own granola, you will never go back to the store to buy granola for sure 🙂

Homemade stovetop granola is a very quick, easy, and cost effective method of making granola. Additionally, you can control the sweetness and use the quality ingredients of your choice.

The stovetop granola recipe takes very less time compared to the traditional way in the oven. Everyone doesn’t have an oven so I wanted to try something simple – super crispy and chewy granola in a pan over the stovetop.

You must dry roast the oats, nuts, salt, and seeds to make the granola super crispy at the beginning and set it aside. Roasting the oats with some salt helps them to crisp and takes out the moisture from them.

  • Rolled Oats
  • Pecans
  • Sliced almonds
  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Raisins
  • Honey
  • Oil
  • Salt

Stovetop Granola Step By Step Recipe

In a wide pan, dry roast the oats, pecans, almond slices, pumpkin seeds, and salt on medium low heat for 5 minutes. Transfer the mixture in a medium sized bowl and set aside.

In the same pan, combine honey and oil together. Let the mixture cook for about 2-3 minutes on medium heat until it becomes bubbly.

Process

Transfer the roasted ingredients in the honey mixture and mix them until they are coated well.

On medium low heat, roast the oats mixture for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

Next, stir the mixture well, spread it evenly on the pan, and roast it without stirring for 3 minutes on low heat.

Remove it from the heat and combine the raisins with the granola. Press the mixture with the back of a spatula to the pan.

Process

Let the granola sit in the pan for 10-15 minutes to achieve larger chunks.

Break the granola with your hands and transfer them to the container. Do not seal the container until the granola is completely dry.
